Vidyapeeth of Lingaya, the noble patriotic ideas of the great freedom fighter (late) Shri Lingaya Gadde and the late Prof. G.V.K.Sinha (Founder of various subsidiaries of Lingaya Group). Lingaya Institute of Management and Technology (LIMAT) is an engineering college established in 1998 with the approval of the All India Commission for Technical Education (AICTE), a statutory body of the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD), Govt. Indian.
The college is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), a unit of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This accreditation is given only to schools selected based on good academic review. In recognition of its excellence, LIMAT was upgraded to Vidyapeeth of Lingaya with the approval of MHRD, Government of India under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
